Lightfighter 13 beach catamaran
Noticed on Sailing Anarchy by Doug Lord is the new Lightfighter 13 catamaran. Apparently it can be purchased for around 11k US. The most interesting part of the design is the unstayed wing mast which is lightweight and easy to fit. The boat weight 85kg all up which is impressive.
I agree that easy demountability and cartopping is a pretty cool feature for small multihulls as a boat trailer is a bit of a nuisance to store and requires maintenance and depending on which country you live registration as well. I've cartopped my Supernova off the beach trimaran before and it's great for when you need to transport to a location with no car trailer parking or take the boat on a car ferry.
I believe that it can be easily broken down and car-topped. No boat trailer! No boat trailer storage! No boat trailer lights!
