Roman Paszke terminates multihull westabout record attempt

Roman Paszke gives up his westabout circumnavigation record attempt:

"Today I made the decision to stop circumnavigation of the world in the wind.
The long wait for the opportunity to go around Cape Horn and the Drake Strait on the Pacific proved to be beyond my strength.
Constant changes in weather and harsh conditions in the area proved to be insurmountable.
The conditions that are expected tonight and the next day is another obstacle and a threat to the boat and me.
Therefore, the following adverse weather forecasts in the area, I decided to terminate the lone circumnavigation catamaran circumnavigation attempt.

Roman Paszke"
