Artemis ORMA trimaran test platform finds new life

From Voile-Multicoque.com

± Google translation;

The old 60 'ORMA, ex Gitana 12, ex Bonduelle, which has been extended to 72' by the Artemis Racing team to test their AC72 wing, will again change hands.

Indeed, the trimaran was bought by John Sangmeister, an American already owns a Formula 40, it should be aligned with the 2013 Transpac among other Gino Morrelli, Cam Lewis, Jacques Vincent on board.

The trimaran was transported to the United States with its conventional rig along the platform of the AC72 of the Swedish team, we should find the trimaran should be renamed Tritium.

Thanks to HASYB who posted the info on the Sailing Anarchy ocean racing forum

Here is a sail world article which has some info on Artemis using the trimaran with a wing for testing.  It did not end well for the wing as it broke but you can be sure that they have a new wing nearly ready for prime time now. Artemis have had their AC72 delivered now and the new wing will go straight onto that platform for testing.
